Perler Template: Pikachu and Ballons from Pokemon Yellow

Happy Sunday everyone!

This is my first post with the new way I'd like to create my Perler project templates. I'm looking forward to improving the process; so if you have any suggestions, they'd be very much appreciated!

Here is the template I made (and used) to recreate the sprite of Pikachu in the clouds via balloons from the GBC Pokemon Yellow intro screen.

Total Bead Count: 1458 Beads (excluding clear beads)

The template here is using the 29 by 29 interlocking pegboards. If you have the larger 49 by 69 pegboard, Pikachu will fit just fine. However, I'd recommend starting the project along one of the edges. Pikachu will almost reach from end to end, as shown below.

For this project, the beads should be easy to come by. Personally, I go to Joann's and take advantage of the coupons they frequently offer. Some stores might not have Pastel Blue, if so, Light Blue would be a decent replacement. The difference between the two is it's a little darker.

I'd love to see photos of your attempts! Happy beading!

    1. I use Photoshop to make my templates. I've been considering using GIMP, but haven't taken the time to learn its features.
